History of Hashem Christian Worship Center, Philadelphia, PA.

Hashem Christian Worship Center originated as Hashem Bible Fellowship, a church that originated in my home in March, 2000. We steadily grew to an active membership of over 50 members. Regular worship attendance eventually surpassed the capacity to adequately and safely accommodate weekly services in my home, which precipitated me to seek for other alternatives. After 2 years, to rectify this, I assumed the pastorate of West Oak Lane Baptist Church. A portion of the membership joined me and became members also.

In January 2007, at a church meeting, a member of the church presented the motion to change the name of the church from a church that reflects a specific denomination, to a name that reflected the direction that the church was going. At a church meeting in October, 2007, the church voted to change the name from West Oak Lane Baptist Church to Hashem Christian Worship Center. This name change became official in January, 2008.
